Artist's Description

An otherworldly landscape at the Bisti Badlands in Northwest New Mexico. Millions upon millions of years ago this was once a fertile river delta; what remains are volcanic ash, sandstone and shale deposited by erupting soot carried into the river.

About David Diaz

David Diaz

Welcome to my photography page. My name is David Diaz. From 9 to 5 (ish), I am a freelance web-developer and full time nerd. I grew up cherishing the arts, and while web work pays the bills, I've always considered myself an artist at heart. Photography has only been a fixation of mine for the last 2 or 3 years, but I come to it from a career in dance, and before that years dabbling in painting and drawing. Born in Seattle, and after living 9 years in Tokyo, Japan, I came back to the US with my family only to find ourselves rolling from one city to the next. New Mexico captured our hearts, plain and simple, and we currently live in the deserty outskirts of the Albuquerque metro. We love to travel, and it will probably show in this gallery....
