Artist's Description

The Kasha Katuwe Tent Rocks are volcanic ash formations within Cochiti Pueblo, halfway between Santa Fe and Albuquerque in New Mexico. Sitting within the foothills of the Jemez Mountains, these formations are accompanied by hoodoos all throughout the region that were formed thanks to the various eruptions of the Valles Caldera super-volcano millions of years ago.

About David Diaz

David Diaz

Welcome to my photography page. My name is David Diaz. From 9 to 5 (ish), I am a freelance web-developer and full time nerd. I grew up cherishing the arts, and while web work pays the bills, I've always considered myself an artist at heart. Photography has only been a fixation of mine for the last 2 or 3 years, but I come to it from a career in dance, and before that years dabbling in painting and drawing. Born in Seattle, and after living 9 years in Tokyo, Japan, I came back to the US with my family only to find ourselves rolling from one city to the next. New Mexico captured our hearts, plain and simple, and we currently live in the deserty outskirts of the Albuquerque metro. We love to travel, and it will probably show in this gallery....
